The organizers announced the winners in Open Monochrome, Open Color, Life Color, Creative Color, Photojournalism and Travel categories last week.
The top award of the exhibition the FIAP Light Blue Badge in the Creative Color category went to Behzad Azimi’s ‘Survivor’ (photo above). He also won the FIAP Gold Medal for this photo.
The FIAP Gold Medal in the Open Monochrome was presented to Mehdi Zabolabbasi’s ‘Fishing’, which depicts an Iranian fisherman.
Mitra Sadat Amini and Ali Mohammadi won FIAP Ribbons in the same section for their ‘Stagnation’ and ‘Dog Love’, respectively, while several other Iranian photographers received honorable mentions.
In the Life Color section, Bahman Zarei won the FIAP Gold Medal for ‘Sleep’, which depicts a collared dove lying on its nest and a man sleeping under the nest.
Ali Mohammadi won the PSA Gold Medal of the same section for ‘Get Rid of Cancer’, which shows a child preparing to be released from a medical center after recovering from cancer. Several Iranian photographers received honorable mentions in this section.
In the Creative Color category, Amir-Masud Arabshahi’s ‘His Own World’ won the PSA Gold Medal and the FIAP Ribbons were presented to Amir Enayati for ‘Carpets and Patterns’ and Mehdi Veisanian for ‘Askestan’. The FPC Trophy was presented to Arlen Keshishian for ‘Perspective’.
In the Photojournalism section, Amir-Masoud Arabshahi’s ‘Accident’ received the FIAP Gold Medal, and the PSA Gold Medal went to Amir Badrazimi’s ‘Involved’. Ali Mohammadi’s ‘Cold Coffins’ and Mohammad-Ali Khorasani’s ‘Brawler’ won the FIAP Ribbon and the FPC Trophy, respectively.
In the Travel category, Farzin Izaddoust’s ‘Holy Surp Hovhannes Church’ won a FIAP Ribbon and the FPC Trophy went to Amir-Masoud Arabshahi’s ‘All Together’.
Amir Enayati was honored with a FIAP Ribbon for his ‘The Window of Hope’ in the Open Color section.
The jury panel of the 3rd Naryn International Exhibition of Photography was formed by Djordje Vukicevic from Serbia, Mohammad-Reza Masoumi from Iran and Yuksel Acikgoz from Turkey.
The exhibition is organized under the auspices of the Federation Internationale de l’Art Photographique (FIAP) and the Photographic Society of America (PSA).
A public showcase of a selection of the submitted works will be held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on June 11.
